To be a strong fit for the Controller role, you will have:
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business
  • A solid background in manufacturing and cost accounting Quick question for you - click here
  • Extensive experience in a similar finance and/or accounting leadership role requiring:
    • Team management
    • Basic accounting skills and monthly close process
    • Financial modeling
    • FP&A
    • ERP or Financial Software
  • High ethical standards including honesty, integrity, and confidentiality
  • Strategic thinking, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills
Preferred, but not required:
  • MBA or CPA certification
  • Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, ideally, in healthcare supplement manufacturing
In addition, you must be willing and able to pass a comprehensive background check.

Reporting to the CEO and Founder, as the Controller, you will oversee all financial and accounting functions within the organization, including an Accounts Payable clerk. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, developing and maintaining the company’s operating model, and providing valuable financial insights to support strategic decision-making.   • Review end-to-end financial processes to identify opportunities to drive efficiencies.
  • Evaluate accounting policies, procedures, and ERP software to identify opportunities for cost and time savings, as well as plan for future growth.
  • Work with the existing team to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Own and optimize models, reporting, and analysis for the Finance and Accounting function.
  • Direct and manage financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
  • Supervise and lead accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.
  • Manage the monthly close, general ledger accounting, and preparation of financial statements per GAAP guidelines; manage year-end close and financial and tax audits. 
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and financial laws.
  • Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and financial institutions; liaise with the Company's accounting firm.
  • Coordinate and administer an adequate plan for the control of operations. Such a plan provides profit planning, sales forecasts, expense budgets, accounts receivable, daily cash reconciliation, cost standards and saving opportunities, and capital investing, together with the necessary controls and procedures to effectuate the plan.
